Occidental IMPZ Dubai is a leading hub for MICE facilities in the UAE
Occidental IMPZ Dubai is the third property in the UAE from the Barceló Hotel Group
The four-star hotel features custom built business facilities ideal to support the Dubai Expo 2020
Occidental IMPZ Dubai Conference & Events Centre, the first Occidental hotel in the Middle East managed by Spanish leading hospitality company Barceló Hotel Group has announced its opening today. Occidental IMPZ Dubai is in close proximity of the Expo 2020 site and offers a leading space for events.
The four-star deluxe hotel in International Media Production Zone (IMPZ) offers a total of 239 rooms across two towers. The brand-new property has a variety of restaurants and bars as well as extensive MICE facilities. The hotel will serve as a meeting and conference hub for the upcoming EXPO 2020. The specially curated conference and events centre boasts four meeting rooms and an expansive ballroom with ample natural light. There is also a multifunctional space on the ground floor, which can be readily used to create bespoke hospitality corners and events. Furthermore, the hotel also accommodates a dedicated library and workspace for business minds and entrepreneurs, both travelers and residents alike.
The hotel is located in close proximity to the EXPO 2020 landmark and within 30 minutes of the official site, catering to both business and leisure travelers. In addition, the hotel is optimized for international travelers, being almost equal distance to Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International airport, as well as providing easy access to a number of the city’s main landmarks. The hotel is situated within 6 km of Dubai Marina Mall and 7 km of The Walk at JBR as well as 9KM from Mall of the Emirates.
As well as being a leading hub for MICE facilities in the UAE, Occidental IMPZ Dubai will be home to an expansive rooftop pool bar with 360-degree city views and a vibrant tapas and sports bar located on the ground floor.
Jaime Buxó, Chief Development Officer at Barceló Hotel Group said, “It is another landmark day in the history of the Group. We are very excited to bring the Occidental brand to the UAE and we aim to deliver the exemplary standards that Barceló Hotel Group is renowned for.”
Goulam Amarsy, CEO of Barceló Gulf, partner of Barceló Hotel Group in the Middle East said “This hotel is committed to delivering the highest standards of MICE facilities with each detail meticulously thought out to ensure we become the go-to hotel for EXPO 2020”.
The new property is just one of eight new ventures the Group announced were in the pipeline for the Emirates – as commented earlier this year by Jaime Buxó, Chief Development Officer at Barceló Hotel Group. As a pioneer for hospitality globally, Barceló Hotel Group’s vision is to provide its excellence in service across the United Arab Emirates. Barceló Hotel Group now operates three hotels in the region and is set to open Dubai property Barceló Al Jadaf in June 2019.
