Mariam Stamboltsyan joins the Occidental IMPZ Dubai, Conference and Events Centre as Director of Sales. The property falls under Barceló Hotel Group’s umbrella of assets in the Gulf region.
The Armenian national is well versed with both the local and international hospitality industries, accumulated through employment at the Carlson Rezidor, Hyatt, Hilton brands in Yerevan and the Melia Hotels International in Doha & Dubai.
Her role at Occidental IMPZ Dubai, Conference and Events Centre, includes determining annual budgets, implementing commercial strategies and analyzing results. Her commercial experience enables her to keep atop of existing market conditions, as well as forecast this, based upon which operational requirements can be completed. Furthermore she will oversee the scheduling and assignment of resources to assist various endeavors, while recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.

Stamboltsyan began her foray into the hospitality industry, with a strong base of theoretical knowledge acquired through achieving her bachelor’s degree in the Faculty of International Relations, at Yerevan State University.
