Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 28 July 2020: Gamers of all ages can rediscover the excitement of this year’s Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) on their smartphone with Yalla DSS (Presented by Club Apparel), a fun and interactive new video game that allows players to explore a virtual Dubai map, complete thrilling challenges and win great DSS prizes.

Created for UAE residents and visitors to play on their mobile phones, the high-tech game combines the excitement of fun online challenges with the joy of receiving great rewards including shopping vouchers presented by Club Apparel, from brands like Skechers, Aldo, Crocs, Rituals, Inglot, Dune London, Cold Stone, Levis, LC Waikiki, The Children’s Place and many more. 

Available to play throughout this year’s DSS, Yalla DSS (Presented by Club Apparel) is designed to be enjoyed by everyone. It can be played at home on a  smartphone or through the challenges activated in nine malls across Dubai; which will see players travel around a virtual Dubai map and take on unique Dubai themed challenges – the Downtown Bubble Popper, Jumeirah Trolley Chase and Burj Khalifa Jumper – with each requiring different skills and super quick reactions.

The game uses GPS technology and virtual maps to guide players to participating malls and partner destinations, with players able to unlock new challenges, move through the levels faster and enjoy an increased chance of winning prizes by visiting each of the malls. The malls include Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira, City Centre Mirdif, The Outlet Village, Nakheel Mall, Ibn Battuta Mall, The Dubai Mall, Mercato Shopping Mall and Dubai Festival City Mall.

 

Every week, Yalla DSS players will be given a new task with three virtual quests to complete. Once they finish the weekly challenge, gamers can win a Weekly Reward prize of a Club Apparel voucher worth AED50. Each time a player successfully gets to the end of a level, they will unlock an Achievement Reward, which boosts their chances of winning Club Apparel vouchers worth AED100.

There are a total of 650 Weekly Rewards to be won by Yalla DSS players, along with 1,800 Achievement Rewards and 657 Daily Rewards.

Players can win multiple Daily, Weekly and Achievement Rewards as they progress through the Yalla DSS game. Plus, they can also bag a free coffee or ice cream each day throughout DSS to help keep their energy levels up when they log in and play.

Redeeming the Club Apparel reward vouchers is easy. Players will simply receive a barcode in their e-wallet in the game which can be scanned and redeemed at the participating stores.

The Yalla DSS game also features an extra special appearance by everyone’s favourite Dubai character, Modesh and his new friend Dana, who will pop up in the game to help players on their quests and guide them to great prizes as they progress through the Yalla DSS game.
