Los Cabos hotelier Solmar Hotels & Resorts, with seven properties in the destination, invites future travelers to join their special Cinco de Mayo virtual celebration and bring the Mexican fiesta into their home! On May 5th, Solmar will be sharing “An Ode to the Avocado” via their Instagram account (@Solmarhotelsandresorts). The series of IG stories will include avocado-inspired facials and typical Mexican recipes and cocktails where avocados are king for followers to try at home.

Avocado Green Gold Facial – For this self-care recipe, ingredients include one avocado and one lemon. The mixture of both food items offers many skin and hair benefits, including antiaging vitamins and minerals, perfect for an at home facial. Images available here.
Avocado Molcajete: To make this traditional Mexican dish, come prepared with one avocado, one and a half tablespoons of wheat flour, two tablespoons of tempura flakes, one table spoon of sesame seeds, two cups of Mexican mole sauce, half a cup of steamed rice, half a tablespoon of radish, a few onion slices, cilantro leaves and sour cream to garnish. Signature Guacamole: Solmar Hotels & Resorts’ signature guacamole is sure to complete your Cinco de Mayo fiesta. The recipe consists of one ripe avocado, chili pepper, ¼ cup of onion, half a tablespoon of crushed garlic, chopped cilantro, two tablespoons of olive oil, two tablespoons of lime juice, chicharron, salt and pepper to taste.
