CEA 2024: Silver Award for Executive Chef of the Year – Hotel

Chef Muhanad undeniably brings over two decades of experience, which has profoundly honed his culinary expertise.

Muhanad Al Shemali, Executive Chef at Swissotel Al Murooj Dubai, achieved the prestigious Executive Chef of the Year - Hotel silver award at the 7th Middle East Chef Excellence Awards 2024. The gala ceremony, hosted by Hozpitality Group, took place on June 7 at JW Marriott Dubai Marina, marking a significant milestone in Muhanad Al Shemali's culinary career. Bassam Bousaleh and Rami Bousaleh from US Beef alongside Raj Bhatt, CEO of Hozpitality Group, were honored to present the award.

Chef Muhanad brings more than two decades of experience, which has developed his culinary expertise. Muhanad Al Shemali has been the Executive Chef at Swissôtel Al Murooj Dubai since October 2022. Before this, he was the Executive Chef at 7 Management from May 2022 to October 2022.

His career includes roles as Head Chef at Atlantis Resorts from June 2021 to May 2022 and Executive Chef at Sunset Hospitality Group from September 2020 to June 2021. Additionally, he served as Head Chef at Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai, from October 2016 to September 2020, where he shared his passion and experience in the kitchen. Muhanad Al Shemali holds a degree from a Hotel Management School, which he attended from 2001 to 2004.
