Shang Palace continues to celebrate the Cantonese culinary invention of dim sum with a revamped menu of its all-you-can-eat lunch menu.
Hugely popular since its launch last year, the dim sum lunch is available daily from noon until 2:30 p.m. for AED115 per person. The new menu consists of a variety of dumplings, steamed dishes, soups and signature dishes.
“Dim sum literally means “to touch your heart” and, with our new menu, we want to continue to treat our guests to a memorable dining experience with some of the best recipes from Hong Kong. Our cuisine is rooted in nature, featuring the finest locally and ethically sourced ingredients,” said Shang Palace Head Chef He Jia.
There is a wide variety of steamed, pan-fried and deep-fried dim sum, including Crystal Scallop with Baby Spinach, Bacon Radish Cake and Crispy Shrimp Toast.
Vegetarian options on the menu include Wild Mushroom and Green Vegetable Dumplings, Stir-Fried Kang Kong and Teriyaki Baby Spinach and Sweet Corn Pan Bun.
Alongside the favourites is an all-new range of chef-recommended signature dishes like Pan-Fried Chicken Thigh with Eggplant, Stewed Egg Cake with Shrimp, Honey Sea Bass Fish Fillet and Steamed Mussels.
The all-you-can-eat menu also features a selection of rice and noodle dishes like Chinese Lanzhou Beef Hand-Pulled Noodles and Pan-Fried Homemade Rice Noodle Rolls.
For dessert, Chef He Jia has opted for Sweet Coffee and Matcha Kaya Pao, as well as Mixed Fresh Fruit Jelly with Osmanthus Flower and Fresh Mango and Herb Jelly in Coconut Milk.
The award-winning restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi has a rich Chinese heritage, which means that epicureans in the capital are guaranteed to enjoy the authentic flavours of dim sum the way they are served in the mainland.
