TORONTO, ON (March 27, 2023) - The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto’s General Manager, Peter Gilis announced two major promotions to the hotel’s senior leadership team. The promotions include Felicia Mongelli to Director, Sales and Victoria Simmons to Director, Room Operations. The promotions will see these two new leaders guide the Sales and Operations departments as the hotel begins its renovation journey.
“I’ve experienced many hotel renovations at the various properties I’ve worked at and understand how important it is to have a steadfast leadership team to guide our associates and guests through upcoming changes,” shares Peter Gilis, General Manager at The Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto. “Victoria and Felicia are the right people to lead these teams. I know they will further strengthen our hotel and better prepare us for our future.”
Victoria Simmons has been named Director, Room Operations effective March 28, 2023. In this role, Simmons will oversee the new Room Operations at a time when the hotel’s guestrooms are being renovated. Simmons was previously the Director of Event Planning at the hotel. She has spent her entire career at the Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto working in progressive leadership roles including Banquets Assistant Manager, Assistant Director of Banquets, Stewarding Manager, Assistant Director of Housekeeping and Director of Banquets.
Felicia Mongelli has been promoted to Director, Sales effective April 2, 2023. Mongelli is an award-winning sales executive who won the President’s Circle Award and continuously exceeds her revenue targets. Previously, Mongelli was the Senior Sales Executive at the hotel. Mongelli started her Marriott career in 2000 at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel as a Front Desk and Lead Reservation Agent. She quickly realized her passion was sales so starting in 2004 she began various roles in the sales department.
