UAE, Dubai, 8 July: After years of anticipation and mounting excitement the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM countdown has officially begun. Today sees the announcement of HUGE NEWS for football fans as DGT and McGettigan Hospitality announced that they have signed an agreement with Dubai Media City Amphitheatre to bring a memorable football fan experience to Dubai. Itll run for the entirety of the tournament, from the first kick-off on Monday 21 November, to the final whistle on Sunday 18 December.
Already confirmed with participation support are African Eastern, led by Budweiser as the Official Beer of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM, to ensure that the Fanzone by McGettigans will deliver the ultimate World Cup experience. Also onboard are Dubai 92 as the Official Radio Station, and they will be onsite throughout the tournament, as well as promoting the Fanzone with competitions and giveaways ahead of the kick-off.
Given the size and magnitude of this incredible outdoor space, the UAEs largest TV screen will be installed to ensure every fan feels like theyre part of the action.
McGettigan Hospitality is once again teaming up with event partners DGT to bring their combined years of expertise back to Dubai Media City Amphitheatre. The teams have previously organized a number of world-class events and concerts in the venue, including Ed Sheeran, Lionel Richie, Party in the Park, and the St Patricks Day Shake your Shamrock festival, so partners and guests can rest assured that there will be world-class entertainment, an unrivaled atmosphere, and the very best food drink on tap. The party will be going before and long after the ref blows his final whistle, with plenty of live music and fun for all the family.
This Tournament will be a momentous occasion, especially given its proximity to Qatar, FIFA fever is certainly mounting here in the UAE! There is so much more to an unforgettable experience than the 90 minutes of football action, its a culminating event of fun, hype, and camaraderie amongst fans from all over the world. Several seating options will be available including VIP booths, picnic tables, and unallocated seating.
An unrivaled fan zone warrants unrivaled prizes and giveaways, which will be revealed in due course.
A dedicated family zone will ensure that every age group gets to feel the vibe and atmosphere of the tournament, with picnic benches, plenty of FB options, hot chocolate, mulled grape, festive treats, and plenty of screens for those that want to watch the games in a more relaxed setting. Live music and a dedicated entertainment stage will add to the family fun.
The Fanzone by McGettigans will also play host to Winterfest, with the festive season really kicking off on Thursday 24th November with a magical Christmas tree lighting experience. The Winterfest zone will prove the ultimate Winter experience for both families and groups of friends throughout the tournament.
There will be a snow park, skating rink, festive market, Santas grotto, and plenty of entertainment and activities, including The Polar Express, The Christmas Jumper Party, Festive Movie Nights, Winterfest Holiday Camp, and of course lots of mulled wine!
