Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel Completed the Latest Stage of Its Renovation

Marking the Largest Renovation in the Hotel’s 50-year History, New Innovative Food and Beverage Offerings, Lobby-Level Collaboration Features, and Upgraded 43rd-Floor Club Lounge Mark the Next Phase of the Transformation

TORONTO, ON June 16, 2021 Following the renovation of the 43rd-floor Club Lounge in October 2021, Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel has completed the latest phase of its extensive transformation. This summer, the hotel will welcome travellers and locals to its fully reimagined lobby level which includes two new food and beverage offerings, private collaboration Studios and soundproof Booths, upgraded porte cochre, and an outdoor pool garden.

Marking the largest renovation of the hotels almost 50-year history, the modernized look exemplifies Sheratons new design as part of its global transformation journey, drawing on the brands roots as a community hub for locals and guests to create an intuitive and holistic experience with spaces to connect, be productive, and help travellers feel part of the local community.

In addition to seamless technology integration and an elevated food and beverage philosophy, the layered design balances a sense of timelessness with a fresh and modern feel, that aims to create an environment where guests feel comfortable and at ease, whether working, meeting or relaxing. Additionally, as guests enter through the modernized porte cochre, they are welcomed by a local art program that tells the story of Toronto.

Two New Food and Beverage Concepts

The first of Sheraton Centres new food and beverage concepts is inspired by eras past. 43 Down is a departure from the traditional hotel restaurant. With its beverage-forward concept, 43 Down focuses on mixology as an art form. Delivering perfectly on the classics through handcrafted cocktails and locally inspired flavours from Torontos diverse culinary scene, 43 Down blends intimacy and connectedness, acting as a backdrop for an informal business meeting or social gathering with friends.

The second,Dual Citizen, offers coffeehouse-style grab and go during the day, while transitioning to a lobby bar in the evenings. Centrally located in the hotels bustling lobby, Dual Citizens elevated menu, lounge-like furniture, and communal tables places guests in the social heart of the hotel.

Collaboration and Technology

Whether collaborating or in need of more privacy, the brands signature, tech-enabled Studios and soundproof Booths are part of the reimaged lobby the heart of the brand's new experience where there is a sense of energy and belonging. With the option to book hourly or on a per-day basis, the Studios are flexible gathering spaces that celebrate collaborative working and connecting with others in a less formal setting. Built on raised platforms and enclosed with glass, the tech-enabled Studios welcome guests to contribute to the energy of the public space while also providing privacy and focus for everything from small group meetings to private dining experiences. The soundproof Booths and Community Tables are also strategically placed within the lobby, perfect for a spontaneous phone call to connect privately with friends, family or colleagues from afar.

Upgraded Pool and Outdoor Area

This summer, the hotel will also unveil an upgraded pool and outdoor area. Framed by lush greenery, the year-round pool and 6,000-square-foot Urban and Waterfall Garden is an urban oasis in the heart of downtown Toronto, offering a premiere location for weddings, social gatherings, and events.
