The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort Appoints New Executive Chef

Chef Jose Miguel De la Puente brings an extensive knowledge of the culinary hospitality industry.

The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort is delighted to announce the appointment of Jose Miguel De la Puente as Executive Chef. Boasting an extensive knowledge of the culinary hospitality industry, Chef Jose Miguel De la Puente brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role at the beloved property.

Chef Jose Miguel De la Puente's interest in the culinary arts began at a young age when he would cook with his family every Sunday in Ecuador. Since then, he has lived in 10 different countries around the world, drawing inspiration from each destination. Chef Jose Miguel De la Puente most recently served as Chef De Cuisine at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Dorado Reserve. In his new role at The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort, Chef Jose Miguel De la Puente will elevate the dining experience for guests and locals alike. He will oversee the resorts distinct culinary venues including Paros, the signature fine dining restaurant, The St. Regis Bar, an intimate space to savor a delectable menu of light small bites alongside a classic Bloody Mary cocktail, and Seagrapes, which is located next to the resorts main pool, and offers a varied menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with indoor and outdoor seating. Chef Jose Miguel De la Puentes inspiration comes from his experiences and travels around the world. He strongly believes that recipes and dishes should be shared around the table. In the newest iteration of Seagrapes, the menus will be designed to be shared, using the best local and organic ingredients, including produce from the propertys own organic garden.

Since its debut, the property has set a new standard for hospitality in Puerto Rico, welcoming travelers from around the globe seeking sun, relaxation, and culture in one of the world's most beautiful and vibrant destinations. Located on a former coconut plantation and situated between the El Yunque National Forest and Espritu Santo River State Preserve, the property is set on 483 acres and is the only Gold-certified Audubon Signature Sanctuary in Puerto Rico. The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resorts features include: private bird sanctuaries; an on-site green team led by a marine biologist; St. Regis legendary Butler Service; an ocean-front golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr.; and an Iridium Spa.
