Shardul Kulkarni, Executive Chef
Hailing from Mumbai, India, Shardul is an internationally trained chef with more than 15 years of experience and will be leading the culinary operations of the hotel which includes six multi-cuisine restaurants and bars, namely Bab Al Bahr the beach bar and grill, Safi Steakhouse, Mejhana highlighting the Spice journey from Middle East to India, Vista serving international cuisine, Al Shorfa lobby lounge caf and Escape the equestrian bar.
Shardul was previously the Executive Sous Chef for The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai before which he was the Executive Sous Chef for Marriott Marquis City Centre Doha. He has also worked with international brands such Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Madinat Jumeirah, The Address Downtown and The Palace Old Town.
His love for travelling and food from various cultures led him to become a Chef. On his appointment, Shardul said that his vision for Ajman Saray is to be the "go to culinary destination" in the Northern Emirates.
Anna-Lena Behrendt, Assistant Director of Sales
Starting her journey with Ajman Saray back in 2014 as Assistant Sales Manager, Anna-Lena has now been promoted to be the Assistant Director of Sales from being a Sales Manager. She specializes in the leisure segment and has nearly a decade's hospitality and sales experience. Before joining Ajman Saray, she was with the sales team of The Ajman Palace Hotel.
Anna-Lena will oversee all operations in terms of sales for the luxury hotel. Speaking about her promotion Anna-Lena said, "I will not only oversee operations in terms of sales, but also ensure that the future of our property thrives as we keep solidifying our presence in the UAE, Germany and Russian market as a go-to-stay resort for a luxurious Arabian holiday by the beach."
Anna-Lena, began her career being inspired at her internship with The Westin Resort and Spa, Mexico and her service experience as a Flight Attendant during the early days as a fresh graduate. A German national, Anna-Lena holds a bachelor degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from International University Bad Honnef-Bonn, Germany.
Mahmoud Elsayed, Front Office Manager
An Egyptian national, Mahmoud is a long-serving Marriott International hotelier, having taken on various positions in the Rooms Division department over the years. He was Front Office Supervisor Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel and Suites, later becoming Assistant Night Manager at Dubai Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf and Marriott Executive Apartments Al Jaddaf before transferring as Night Manager to The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre, thereafter assuming his most recent assignment in JW Marriott Marquis Hotel, Dubai, where he was Assistant Front Office Manager.
Mahmoud has recently joined the Front Office team at Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort as Front Office Manager, with a vision to make this property "the favorite luxury beach resort of Ajman" where he ensures the greatest guest satisfaction.
Jeda Al-houdan, Food and Beverage Manager
Ajman Saray, a Luxury Collection Resort has appointed Jeda Al-houdan as the Food and Beverage Manager to manage the food and beverage service operations for its six restaurants and bars.
She started her career with Shangri-la, Edsa in Manila. Starting her Marriott International journey at Manila Marriott Hotel as a Team Leader, Jeda worked in several positions with different properties within the group, namely The Ritz-Carlton, Millennia Singapore, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai and her recent role as Outlet Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai.
In her new position, Jeda will manage all aspects of Ajman Saray food and beverage department consisting of six concept restaurants and bars, including the beach bar Bab Al Bahr, Safi Steakhouse, the Indian and Arabic inspired Mejhana, all day dining Vista, lobby lounge and caf Al Shorfa and the equestrian bar - Escape. Her vision is to establish Ajman Saray as a lively culinary destination to be known across Northern Emirates. Seema Nandwani, Assistant Marketing Manager
Seema Nandwani has been appointed as the Assistant Marketing Manager for Ajman Saray. In her new role, Seema is responsible for all things marketing, PR and communications.
Prior to joining Ajman Saray, Seema was with The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Wadi Desert and The Ritz-Carlton Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach, where her role encompassed a full range of PR and marketing functions for both the resorts as a Marketing Executive. Having joined The Ritz-Carlton resorts as a Marketing Coordinator, Seema was promoted by the end of her first year.
