Hutong Opens Again with its World-Famous Dishes

New to Dubai, Hutong restaurant reopens its doors in the DIFC for its award-winning Northern Chinese cuisine

23rd June 2020 - Dubai, UAE:   Internationally acclaimed restaurant and bar Hutong is delighted to re-open its doors on Tuesday 30th  June. With award-winning locations in London, New York, Miami and Hong Kong, Hutong Dubai is the latest addition to the DIFC’s vibrant dining scene, bringing a fresh take on Chinese dining with its Northern Chinese cuisine and occasionally fiery array of dishes, dim sum and cocktails.

To celebrate the re-opening, Hutong invites guests to come and enjoy six of its best known favourite dishes. These include the popular Red Lantern, which is served to the table in a traditional Chinese wood basket overflowing with red Sichuan dried chilies. Crispy pieces of soft-shell crab nestle between the chilies, infused with spices and lip-numbing chili essence. Also featured is Hutong’s famous Roasted Peking Duck with Pancakes, made to a hundred-year old recipe created for the Chinese Emperor, an unmissable piece of theatre delicately carved at the table. And Chilean Sea Bass Red Star Noodles – beautiful fresh sea bass is presented on a bed of super-thin Chinese noodles covered with a spicy broth and topped off with a delicately carved red pepper. As a thank you and welcome back from the team, any guest ordering one of Hutong’s favourite dishes will be gifted a complimentary Chef’s Selection Dim Sum basket.

About Hutong:

Born in Hong Kong in 2003, Hutong restaurant quickly became much loved for its contemporary and occasionally fiery Northern Chinese cuisine as well as its stunning views of the Hong Kong skyline. The restaurant received many awards including the first Michelin star awarded to a Chinese restaurant in the city. Today there are five Hutongs in the family - London, which opened in 2008 in The Shard, Europe’s tallest building; New York opening in 2019, named the fifth best restaurant by the New York Times; Miami also opening in 2019 and Dubai in 2020. Each Hutong shares the same DNA but has its own look and character - much like sisters. Hutong is part of Aqua Restaurant Group.
