Koreans Have 'Double Standards' in Hospitality to Foreign Tourists

South Koreans are serious about their reputation for hospitality, but a recent survey of foreign tourists shows that Western and Asian visitors rate the level of friendliness differently.

IFA launches Dubai hotel shared ownership scheme

Kuwait-based IFA Hotels and Resorts has launched its second hotel condominium ownership product in the Middle East, within the five-star Fairmont Palm Jumeirah hotel in Dubai. Egypt tourism numbers down

The Egyptian ministry of tourism has said that the number of tourists visiting Egypt in the first ten months of 2009 dropped 4.5% compared to the same period last year, Reuters has reported. About 10.9 million tourists visited Egypt in the first ten months of this year, spending nearly 106.3 million room nights, the ministry said. The ministry expects total arrivals for the year to fall between two and three percent versus 2008, less than it had previously feared, a ministry spokeswoman said.

Movenpick plans Dubai\ s first all inclusive resort

Movenpick Hotels & Resorts has unveiled what it claims is a first for Dubai - a pre-paid all-inclusive offering at one of its forthcoming properties on The Palm Jumeirah.

Dubai property market 'back in limelight'

Emaar Hospitality CEO plays down hotel oversupply fears

The CEO of Emaar Hospitality Group has played down fears that Dubai may face a major oversupply of hotel properties in the coming year.



Marc Dardenne said that he was not concerned about fears that the emirate might suffer from having too many hotels - a concern voiced by some analysts.

Abu Dhabi to Attract 2.3 mil. Tourists by 2012

The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) has announced revised targets for expanding the capital emirate's tourism industry over the next three years, according to a recent ArabianBusiness.com report. PREMIER INN'S BUDGET HOTEL BRAND CHECKS INTO INDIA

Belarus: Kempinski Hotels intends to build multi purpose complex

In 2010, the international group Kempinski Hotels SA intends to launch construction of a multi purpose complex in Minsk. The complex will include two hotels and a business centre. The group intends to complete its first project in Belarus before the end of 2013. The investments volume is kept confidential.
